Life after Gastric Balloon
After the procedure, the first 2 weeks were terrible, but I heard from the others in the support group that it would last only for the first two weeks, so I was encouraged and determined to get through it.
After that, my lifestyle completely changed. I take my meals at 10:00 am , that would be a boiled egg and tea without sugar mostly or maybe a pancake. At lunchtime , I take a piece of chicken and vegetables.In the evening, I take ugali and vegetables, rice, and beans but with reduced portions. I stopped taking alchohol because of its side effects with the balloon, which was a major lifestyle change for me .
I kept my head on the game even when it was hard , with the support from the team , and I managed to pull through. I lost 17 kgs in 4 months, and eventually 24kgs in 6 months, I feel lighter , I walk comfortably , I am so confident at work, and my wardrobe has changed completely. I am so happy and excited . I am looking forward to a healthier and happier life.
