Easter may not be celebrated at the beginning of the calendar year but it is a season that signifies a new beginning. Historically, Easter falls at the time when the world in the northern hemisphere comes alive with the first blossoms of life after the long dead winter period. In the Christian calendar, Easter is a celebration of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ; another significant second chance at life for believers. Easter may offer some a second chance to revisit New Year’s resolutions that gradually fell apart, such as losing weight and eating healthy.
However, you need not wait for such times and seasons to make the move of gaining your ideal life through weight loss and weight management. Time is the one resource that you can never get back so why squander it away? Sometimes the choices for attaining your ideal weight may seem so many that you are rendered paralysed to act; will the pills work better than the diet you attempted after Christmas indulgence? Or is it about time to sign up for that gym membership that has been put off for long enough? If such choices seem too daunting then perhaps the change needs to start in the mind.
By correcting unhealthy lifestyle and eating habits, the battle can already be won in the mind. The problem with fad diets and sporadic feats at fitness is that they are not sustainable. Once you stop the diet and return to your usual foods, the weight may creep back on. Once the gym membership expires you may return to a sedentary life of inactivity that also leads to weight gain. It is time to put a stop to this merry-go-round and waste of your hard earned wealth.
Holistic Living developed the Lifestyle coaching service as an effective, painless and healthy method of weight loss, which aims to prevent the kind of subconscious response that comes from unsustainable deprivation and restriction. We train the mind subconsciously to change its attitude towards food; essentially reverse-engineering one’s mind and cutting off this excessive dependency. This is done through interactive sessions between the doctor and the patient, which are further reinforced by listening to corresponding audio sessions outside of our office. The goal is to break the pathological cycle of eating, getting pleasure, and increasing one’s weight. Once the quantity and quality of food is under your control, so begins the weight loss in a correct, healthy manner, achieving harmony within the body, the mind and the spirit. The resulting subconscious change in the mind occurs without even realizing it and you start to see the weight drop off, as much as up to 10kg per month.
